Very Rare First Edition Set of Living The Good Life / Man’s Search For The Good Life (Inscribed, and SIGNED by both Helen and Scott Nearing. Social Science Institute, Harborside, Maine. 1954. Man’s Search For The Good Life by Scott Nearing is inscribed “Good cheer + a good life. Scott Nearing April 23, 1955” / Living The Good Life by Helen and Scott Nearing is inscribed “It is easy + advantageous to live a good life - Helen + Scott Nearing 23 April, 1955”. Includes original box. Books are bound in patterned paper, one in orange and the other in blue. Box is cardboard wrapped in patterned grey paper.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Books are in near perfect condition. Crisp corners, strong binding, no page creases or discoloration. Very light wear to bottom and top edges of binding. Signatures and inscriptions are very clear and strong. Box is rough (see photos for details).
