Vintage Folk Art Framed Coquina Clam Shell Collection, Circa 1930s. A gorgeous assemblage of small scale shells in varied pastel hues, perfectly arranged to show their natural beauty. Framed in a striped mixed-wood frame that likely pre-dates the collection (early 20th century). The shells have been placed on a natural cotton fiber ground, protected by glass. Each shell is displayed open, resembling a butterfly. Unsigned.
Condition: Great vintage condition, frame shows signs of wear commensurate with age and use (as pictured). Three shells within the collection are broken, with a half of one missing.
