Framed Antique Photo of "The Aviator" Sculpture by Gutzon Borglum, Circa 1920s. Silver gelatin print of “the Aviator” sculpture at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. The nude, winged bronze sculpture was designed in 1918 by artist, Gutzon Borglum, in commemoration of James Rogers McConnell’s service in WWI. The barren trees in the background of the sepia-toned work add an eeriness to the image. Paired with a vintage chrome frame.
