Rare Vintage Susana Espinosa Glazed Pottery Plate with Face Motif, Circa 1976. This shallow plate is an early work by the artist designed around a central face motif rendered in tones of rust, blue, green and white. The surface design is created by carving away sections of the glaze before firing to offer a multi-dimensional and textured look. Designed to be hung on a wall or displayed rather than for utilitarian use (plate holder for hanging included).
