Vintage Paolo Soleri Sand Cast Bronze Cosanti Windbell, Circa 1970s

$1,198.00

Vintage Paolo Soleri Sand Cast Bronze Cosanti Windbell, Circa 1970s. This particular form is quite rare. It is designed around an organic abstract body form with surface ridge details. Brutalist in style, the patinated surface is textured to perfection in shades of rust and green. A triple link chain attaches to the top of the piece. The bell retains its original fin and is signed in the mold. Each original bell produced by Soleri is unique with no two bells being exactly the same.

Paolo Soleri was an Italian architect. He established the educational Cosanti Foundation and Arcosanti, an "urban laboratory" (so-dubbed by Ada Louise Huxtable, who at the time was the architectural critic of The NY Times) which became internationally renowned in Arizona.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Natural patinated surface.

Specs: 23 1/2” Total Height (Base of Fin to Top of Chain) x 7” Body of Bell Height x 6” Width x 6 1/2” Depth
