Vintage Jens Quistgaard for Dansk Rare "Pear Core" and "Vanguard" Teak Peppermills, Circa 1970s-1980s.
Pear Core - Model Number: 1611* - Constructed from teak with a partially eaten pear form, this Peppermill is one of the rare designs of the Quistgaard pepper mill line. The top of the mill has a plug for loading salt, surrounded by seven holes. Pepper is loaded from the base of the mill. The grinder is operated by a rotation point at the middle of the mill. Made in Denmark, circa 1970s.
Vanguard - Model Number: 825* - Constructed from teak with a totemic form, this Peppermill is perceived to be the first of the Quistgaard designed pepper mills. Peppercorns are loaded in through the base, incorporated as part of the grinder. Table salt is filled via the four plugs on the sides of the top. Made in Thailand, circa 1980s.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Minimal surface wear, with only a couple small areas of light abrasion and finish variation as detailed in images.
