Vintage Folk Art Stacked Disc Throne Chair with Heart Motif, Circa 1940s-50s. This commanding form was fashioned from hundreds of stacked maple discs around a steel interior structure. The design incorporates heart cutouts on each side, a central drawer and three finials along the backrest adding interest to the piece. The seat is constructed from a patchwork of cut pine squares. Signed Marcel Papineau on the front drawer underside and interior of chair base.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minimal surface wear. A couple small areas of abrasion and circular disc losses concentrated towards the base (barely visible and does not detract from the overall look).
