Vintage Bulbous Greige Pietra Decor Series Textured Terracotta Lamp by Raymor, Circa 1950s. Bulbous bottle formed from textured terracotta mounted on a patinated steel cylindrical base. The horizontal striations were created on the wheel before the piece was bisque-fired, adding depth to the body. Utilizing this technique created unique patterns, making no two pieces alike. Finished with a matte greige glaze. In the manner of works designed by Urbano Zaccagnini for Raymor. Original “Raymor” manufacturing label intact on socket. Confirmed by the Bitossi Archive as part of their Pietra Decor Series. Additional production label can found on the base of the ceramic body (only visible when the lamp is taken apart) noting style number “1201” as well as place of production “Made in Italy.”
