Vintage Vibrant Fuchsia Color Block Banded Waist Silk Dress, Circa 1960s. Sumptuous silk wool body expertly cut with a streamlined silhouette. The sporty, fitted tank bodice scoops into a pleasing “v” on the backside. The cummerbund style waist is rendered in a trio of Thai silk bands in hues of lime green, lavender and bubblegum pink. The skirt is pleated along the side seams adding a slight sense of volume to the hips. Zips along the center-back with a hook and eye closure. Bodice is lined, skirt is unlined. Unlabeled.
Provenance: Custom-made in the 60s for a Virginia-based opera singer.
Condition: Great vintage condition, light discoloration in the center of the banded waist (barely noticeable) with light discoloration on the skirt (as pictured)
