Rare Vintage Novelty Nautical Print Party Dress, Circa 1950s. Fantastical print rendered with a bevy of aquatic life such as seahorses, prawns, shells and coral layered over a printed fishnet ground. Fit and flare silhouette with a full, pleated skirt. Sleeveless bodice with a square neckline, plunging in the back with cutouts along the shoulders. Piped along the waist, neckline and cutouts with an orange cotton. Truly a one-of-a-kind find. Closes with nylon zip (recently replaced) and hook and eyes along the center back. Unlabeled.
Condition: Great vintage condition, some discoloration and light staining throughout (mostly on the skirt) with light abrasions throughout, does not affect stability of the piece (as pictured). Zipper and hook and eyes recently replaced.
