Vintage Triangular Clear + Smoke Glass Vase by Nils Landberg for Orrefors, Circa 1960s. Sommerso glass vase in clear and smoke grey designed by Nils Landberg (1907-1991) for Orrefors Glass, Sweden. From the 'Dusk' series, the soft triangular form creates an optical illusion effect when viewed from different angles. The vase is signed on the underside of the base "Orrefors N 38 12-138". The piece also retains an original paper retailer label from “the store ltd.”
Nils Landberg was a renowned Swedish glass artist who worked at Orrefors Glassworks between 1925-72. He studied at the Handicraft Society School in Gothenburg. Landberg began his career with works of engraved glass and debuted at the Paris Exhibition in 1937. He participated in the 1939 New York World Exhibition and won the 1957 Milan Triennale gold medal. Landberg’s work is in public buildings throughout Sweden and several museums in Sweden, Germany and the U.S.

Condition: Great vintage condition. A couple small areas of surface scratching mainly concentrated to one side, but barely visible (does not detract from the overall look).
