Antique Large-Scale Peaseware-Style Treen Lidded Vessel, Circa Mid-Late 19th Century. This large scale lidded urn is constructed from various turned wood segments. The piece is heavily detailed with a pedestal base and an exaggerated finial at the top of the lid that doubles as the handle. The interior of the vessel has two compartments: an outer ring and interior circular well, lined in black velvet. Likely originally intended for tobacco storage. Unsigned.
Condition: Excellent antique condition. Minimal surface wear with only a couple small areas of surface abrasion as detailed in images.
