Vintage Dusty Olive Wool US WW2 43rd Infantry Military Suit with Zip Front Jacket, Circa 1940s.
Functional, precise military tailoring with all of the bells and whistles for active duty. Multiple pockets throughout the exterior and interior of the coat and pants. Adjustable belts at the waist for adjusting as needed. Jacket zips closed behind a hidden center-front placket. Jacket is fully lined, pants are unlined.
The 43rd Infantry was a division of the US Army from 1920-63 specifically serving in the Pacific during WWII. Nicknamed the “winged victory division,” the National Guard was activated in Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island + Vermont. The badge features a black grape leaf on a red clover background.
Condition: Great vintage condition, jacket zipper pull was replaced earlier in life with a paper clip, fully functional. Interior armhole lining popped, does not affect stability of jacket. Back pant pocket missing hidden button.
