Antique Maine First Nations / Indigenous Adirondack Gathering Basket, Circa Early 20th Century. Utilitarian handwoven gathering basket with a large, free-standing pot belly form. Complete with a handle and loop at the back for portability. Produced by the Wabanaki, a collective of the Maliseet, Micmac, Passamaquoddy, and Penobscot tribes. Fully functional for foraging, storage or sculpturally as a decor element.
