Antique Victorian Campaign Portable Mirror with Swivel Closure by F. Roeder, Circa Late 19th Century. Campaign-style travel mirror crafted with a wonderfully patinated oval mahogany frame, beveled at the base for standing stability. The face swivels open to reveal the beautifully antiqued mirrored panel, outlined with inlaid stringing of boxwood and ebony. The backside is fitted with a pivoting hinge/hook for wall mounting or tabletop presentation. Branded “F. Roeder” “Pat. Jan. 2. 1888” on the backplate.
