Vintage Wood Parquetry Geometric Table Lamps, A Pair, Circa 1940s
Vintage Wood Parquetry Geometric Table Lamps, A Pair, Circa 1940s. A very rare set, these lamps were designed by an inmate in a Massachusetts Prison in the 1940s. Known as “Prison Art”, each lamp is intricately constructed from small alternating-tone rectangular wood pieces, creating a chain-like surface motif. Sold without shades, we would recommend pairing these lamps with rectangular shades. Paired with new linen rounded rectangular lamp shades. **Lampshades sold separately.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Minimal surface wear with very light surface abrasions.
