Rare Italian Sintesi Faretto Desk Lamp / Sconce Designed by Ernesto Gismondi for Artemide, Circa 1970s. A rare find, this Italian Postmodern-Industrial style lamp is constructed from a mix of orange powder-coated steel, aluminum, plastic and rubber. Designed by Ernesto Gismondi for Artemide in 1975, along with full line of similar styles. The piece functions as a desk lamp as well as a wall sconce (includes holes in base for wall-mounting). The head is constructed from a perforated aluminum shell with black wire framework and is designed to pivot from the base, revealing the lightbulb. Stamped on the underside of the base “Artemide modello Sintesi Faretto Design E. Gismondi Made in Italy.”
Condition: Great vintage condition, slight loss to orange surface paint as detailed in photos.
