The body of this industrial piece is formed from a thick piece of plywood, painted black, with four thick mounted aluminum discs. Foundry molds and patterns like this are wooden tools fabricated to create negative space, which in turn is used to make the inverse form to be used for the casting of metal. Today, these pieces are often repurposed as artwork and sculpture. The base of this mold has two circular cutouts (central top + bottom) perfect for wall hanging. Unbranded.
Condition: Great vintage condition. The natural surface patina and finish variation are commensurate with the age and industrial use of this piece for mold fabrication purposes. Rubbing to edges and corners is present as detailed in images.
