Vintage Miniature Folk Art Painted Wood Dresser with Porcelain Pulls, Circa Late 19th Century
Vintage Miniature Folk Art Painted Wood Dresser with Porcelain Pulls, Circa Late 19th Century. Constructed largely from cigar box remnants with partial branding visible on the interior of the top drawer. Designed to resemble a full-scale Victorian dresser, down to the white ceramic pulls and small shelves on each side of the mirror. Each of the five drawers has an applied diamond detail at the center, with these same details also applied to the mirror surround. The surface is painted black, possibly a later in life application. Perfect for small-scale storage or jewelry. Handmade, unbranded.
Condition: Great antique condition, wear commensurate with age and use. Small areas of surface abrasion and paint loss. The top of the surround has a couple small top applied detail losses. The central mirror easily pivots backwards and may benefit from a small stop added to the base.
