Vintage Vollard Suite Prints by Pablo Picasso, A Pair, Circa 1950s. Early pencil-numbered Limited Edition prints. The suite includes works titled “The Sculptor and his Model” (numbered 208/320) and “Sculptor in Repose with Marie-Thérèse” (numbered 240/340). Framed in black painted wood frames and double matted in two shades of blue. Signed in the plate and pencil-numbered in the lower left corner of each print. Sold as a Pair.
The Vollard Suite is a set of 100 etchings in the neoclassical style, produced from 1930-1937. Named for the art dealer who commissioned them, Ambroise Vollard, the suite is featured in a number of museum collections.
Condition: Great vintage condition. Very light water marks only on matte one one print. Prints are in excellent condition. Frames show light signs of wear.
