Antique Johannes Zorn Hand-Colored Dill Copperplate Engraving, Circa Late 18th Century. A superbly detailed engraving showing the lifecycle of the Dill plant, the work was illustrated by Jan Christiaan Sepp. Hand-colored in shades of pale green, yellow and rust. The work is from a medical botanical publication "Afbeelding der Artseny-Gewassen” first published in Nurnberg in 1780 with 500 plates. Zorn was a German pharmacist and botanist who collected medicinal plants across Europe.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Print is in excellent condition with only minimal wear to frame as shown in photos.
