1940s-1950s Japanese Woodblock print by Artist, Kawarazaki Shodo. Centered around cherry blossoms, matted and framed in original bamboo frame. Print colors are still strong and vibrant.
Born in 1889, Shodo Kawarazakip worked as a painter and print designer of flower subjects from Kyoto, published by Unsodo.
Most of the woodblock prints were published in the 1950s when there was a strong demand for handmade Japanese woodblock prints by the American occupation forces.
Condition: Great vintage condition. Wear consistent with age + use. One small spot on interior right corner of print / interior of glass which can likely be removed. Light wear to finish on frame. Paper taping on back of frame is loose with some missing areas (can easily be replaced if desired)
