Rare Vintage Simonetta Sport Jewel Green Silk Satin Gown, Circa 1960s. A true gem of Italian glamour, designed by Countess Simonetta Colonna di Cesaró. Simonetta was a leading designer of post-World War II Italian high fashion (“alta moda”); her contemporaries included Alberto Fabiani (later her second husband), Roberto Capucci, Marquis Emilio Pucci, and Princess Marcella Borghese. Known for her expert tailoring and lines, this gown exhibits easy glamour with a relaxed yet commanding silhouette. Wrap-front bodice with a wide open lapel. The gown closes with a zipper hidden within the box pleats. The full skirt gives way to easy movement with pockets for functional flair. Unlined.
