Vintage Empire Waist Printed Maxi Dress with Bishop Sleeves, Circa 1970s. Bold and bright, this eye-catching piece is sure to command attention. The bohemian dress features a golden yellow bust and sheer sleeves, countered with a wallpaper-style printed skirt and accents. The print alternates between yellow and white ground with repeated floral motifs within patterned borders. The empire waist is defined with a printed belt and full skirt. Balanced with a yellow bust and dramatic, billowy chiffon bishop sleeves. The printed neckline is defined with band collar and keyhole opening, decorative buttons line the center-front. The bust and skirt are fully lined. The printed cuffs close with snaps. The dress zips closed at the center-back with hook and eye closures along the neck.
Retains original “ILGWU” union label on the interior, maker’s label was removed previously in life.
Condition: Great vintage condition, some light discoloration to the sleeves and bust. Light abrasions to the chiffon (as pictured).
