Vintage "A Ma Chere" Hand-Carved Lover's Token Hand Sculpture, Circa 1940s. A wonderfully detailed and realistic carving in maple, the grasping hand was likely created with the presentation of flowers or a special item in mind. The body of the sculpture is fastened to a rectangular birdseye maple base with a curved brass rod. Signed “JC” on the top of the base, with an inscription on the underside that reads “A ma chere - Amie Jacqueline -Jean-”
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. One very small natural fissure through base of wrist, light rubbing to base corners with overall light finish variation.
